Masterpiece 👌
Don't fckn tell me you went to this song just because of the "English or Spanish" meme
Nothin but love for Bill Evans.
I am glad I found Bill Evans, by way of exploring the musicians that feature on Miles Davis' Kind of Blue. This is the jewel in the crown of 'Everybody Digs Bill Evans', reminiscent of my favourite classical sounds of Satie and Debussy. And so my musical odyssey continues...
Crazy beautiful!
Listening to this masterpiece is a must in one's life...this is so beautiful, the sound of a soul...Bill's soul... whether I'm sad or happy, each note brings a peaceful smile on my face...❤ You Forever Bill Evans...❤
I think that might be the most beautiful ending to a song I have ever heard.
Beautifuul
Es hermoso el jazz!!! Gracias por este video !!!

PEACE....TO ALL
So chill. I love this piece. everytime I listen I love it more and more. Peace everyone
best peace of jazz in the light of the world even when angels cry with tears when it rains LOVE
This piece is not for others..that left us..and bla bla bla..it’s supposed to be dedicated to our self/soul
A flowing Piece of Peace. Beautifully written. Very heartfelt in one soul. ❤❤❤
I will never be supposed to act 'weak' to my family

I’ve listened to plenty of pieces but I’d have to say this has to be one of the most beautiful songs in existence. Bill is speaking to us through his piano which I feel portrays sadness paired with the feeling that everything will be alright. My mind has been extremely busy lately, and very few pieces can quiet my mind like this does. Absolutely brilliant. May Will rest in piece knowing that this song has blessed millions of people.
"Peace Piece"
most sublime
Play it again Sam !!
What an amazing and yet ultimately tranquil exploration of melodic possibilites against a well defined tonal center. It's beautiful in an absolutely unique way.
Simply Beautiful
Just read that was the inspiration for “Flamenco Sketches” Beautiful❤
The first time I heard this piece is when Liz Story covered it. I listened to her cover of Peace, Piece 100 times thinking it was her song.
🙏😀
It's art. If you love it, you are correct. Not my cup of tea (love a lot of his other stuff). Overly simple/ repetitive. The dissonance is jarring.
pretty amazing stuff
Some great hypnotic sounding 🎶 music 🎶
I was about 20 when I saw and heard a Bill Evans Trio at a Greenwich Village nightclub in 1965. I arrived about 9 PM.The club was just about empty. Evans was playing hunched down over the keyboard, his head just above his hands. The bass player was Scott LaFaro I believe. Don't remember the drummer's name. At intermission I went to the men's room to drain the beer. To my surprise, the band was sitting at a table just outside the men's room yucking it up. They nodded. I nodded. I did my business and went back to my table. If anyone thought I was a future jazz buff, they were wrong. Dylan went electric. Janice got me by her ball and chain. The Animals "Winds of Change" clued me about Hendrix and I went rock & roll. I decided jazz was becoming pretentious. The players were becoming "artists" and playing for themselves instead of the audience. And there was something called "Crow-Jim" turning musicians against themselves.
Mute...!
Ogni giorno, ogni istante penso a mio padre. Ci ha lasciati un anno fa, ma non riesco a piangere perché mi sussurra spesso le sue battute ironiche e irriverenti. Purtroppo ha sofferto tanto e avrei voluto farmi carico di un po' di quella sofferenza.
I don't play piano, so I'm not an expert, I can't evaluate his music from a technical perspective, but I never enjoyed listening to music better than when I listen to Bill Evans
Это скорей всего более высокая музыка,в каждой ноте есть смысл о жизни,любви. Слушаю. Валерий Козырев,журналист.Kaunas.
God bless you Bill.
This is my favourite piece about peace by Bill.
Late December 1958 late night. Peace Piece is an example of the depth of Evans' compositional technique. It is an ostinato piece, composed and recorded long before the more recent superficial synthesis of Indian and American music; in fact, it owes more to Satie and Debussy than to Ravi Shankar. The improvisation starts simply over a gentle ostinato, which quickly fades into the background. Evans allows the fantasy that evolves from the opening motive (an inversion of the descending fifth in the ostinato) more freedom than he would in an improvisation tied to a changing accompaniment. He takes advantage of the ostinato as a unifying element against which ideas flower, growing more lush and colorful as the piece unfolds. Polytonalities and cross rhythms increase in density as the ostinato undulates gently, providing a central rhythmic and tonal reference. The improvisation becomes increasingly complex against the unrelenting simplicity of the accompaniment, until, near the end, Evans gradually reconciles the two elements." You can find the same elements at Helen Merrill song, When I look in Your Eyes. 1985 France
Why does it remind me so much to Flamenco Sketches? Any technical or historical explanation? Beautiful.
I found this piece when someone posted to Facebook in response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine
One day I was just sitting on my bed. I was brainstorming ideas for a story I wanted to write and decided to put on some music to work to. I asked the Alexa in the room to turn on some jazz music considering it's among my favorite genres. This was the first song that came on. I couldn't even work properly when I first heard it. I just sat there. Listening to this song. Music really is something special.
Being improvised, this is music straight from his heart. Captivating.

I am an old rocker from the 80’s. I know nothing about Jazz and for some reason saw this and decided to listen. This is awesome, pure genius. It’s time for me to dig deeper into his catalog.
4:00~ I'm so scared
This sounds exactly like Flamenco Sketches, right?
The most achingly beautiful piece of jazz piano I have ever heard in my entire life ❤️ 😢😢
You can hear in the beginning when the drummer starts to play and immediately stops. I think Bill wanted to play this all by himself. Result is pure gold.
Simplicity is the key to being majestic.
